C I T I Z E N . F O U N D . D E A D Odis Davis, a fisherman of 49, was found dead late last night near the town's pub. The red marks around his neck show evidence he was strangled, hough police are still it was an outsider. Odis was known as one of the town's best fisherman, and has been described as a very loyal committee member. May he rest in peace.
"Miss, I think it's best you step away. Hello, I'd like to report a possible homicide just outside Tallenburgh Pub. No, am I supposed to know who he is? Yes, he is dead. There is a woman, an unconscious man and me here. I don't know what happen—is this supposed to calm me down? Just send some officers."

the place where everyone meets, especially during important events. the town is small, so having this building for get-togethers is the only option for any decisions in the town. usually town meetings are held every one to two months, although not always. the town leader calls for meetings when it is necessary.
a small shop located in the town, where the people can find any necessary everyday items, although there is not much variety of food. still, this is the biggest store you can find in a town as small as tallenburgh. most of the townspeople make do with the restricted access to supplies, though.
with as much history as this town has, it would also make sense that the church has been there since the beginning. this obviously means that is by no means what you would call 'modern'. most of it's edges are worn down, the once blinding white paint has faded, and the door even screeches when you open it. but that doesn't stop most of the townspeople from attending the sacred church regularly.
although it's only one building, all of the younger children attend school on a daily basis. the teacher passes their knowledge down to them, otherwise known as "the future of tallenburgh." the elementary school features grades from preschool up until 5th grade, and each grade group receives different level assignments suiting their age group.
this is the school for higher leveled students, ranging from 6th grade up until 12th, when the students can finally graduate and make a decision to work in tallenburgh or go off to college somewhere else. students are highly encouraged to stay in the town by their teachers.
here resides the homes of tallenburgh's inhabitants. most of the houses are not extremely fancy, and instead focus on the stability of it's foundation for protection against blizzards, snowstorms, and are built in such a way to keep the inside warmer. most of the houses are not large either, but there are a special few who own them.
believe it or not, the library in this town is one of the more popular places visited. since often t.v. does not offer cable or satellite here, and there is not much entertainment, this is the one place people can relax and enjoy a nice book. after all, tallenburgh does have quite a selection, especially for it's size.
although the general store has little amounts of food, the market store is also here to provide food. weekly, packages of food are shipped to the small town at it's port. so it is always freshly stalked. many of the townspeople can be hanging about the few stores and shops that tallensburgh has, so it's easy to find a friend here that you can strike up a conversation with.
all activities held in the town are usually found here, including town dances, festivities, etc. the building is one of the newer structures of the town, having not been one of the original places created when the town was founded. important events are held here frequently, mainly because it's just a huge room with lots of space for things like that.
in a remote, distant town like this, medical centers are often needed in case of accidents that need immediate care. unfortunately, anything that is major requires a trek through the snow on a snowmobile with a doctor to the nearest hospital. the medical center is only for minor wounds, emergencys, etc.
the courthouse is one of the oldest buildings in the city. any trial held against another citizen is held here, in a building that is in worse condition than most places in the town. it is not used very often, but is still a historic monument of the town. it has a large clock tower above the front of the roof that can be heard ringing throughout part of the town every hour.
because there's much history involved with the small town, it's only fitting that it has a museum to record it's past. although it's only been around for a few generations, tallenburgh has many secrets buried deep underneath it's skin. and the museum is just one of the many windows to what's been kept hidden for years.
the town's graveyard has been said for years to be haunted, although know one knows how this myth got started. but, everyone who has ever died in tallenburgh has been buried here. and, it is yet another mystery that this "peaceful" town includes, and also where more dark secrets can be found.
it gets it's name from the story that ships used to have the unfortunate luck as to crash here. thus, skull cove was born. but the full truth may never be known, and skull cove isn't just a place of sunken ships. no...it has a deeper, darker, and more powerful meaning than any of the townspeople could ever know of.
for the adults in the town, the pub is always a hot spot. there's pool, a dart board, and of course a bar serving alcoholic beverages. just like any bar or pub. but, that also means there's loads of people who make the mistake of having a little too much to drink, which might cause some commotion throughout the town.
located in the north side of the town, where tallenburgh originally began. this set of old buildings were some of the original structures, and were all refurbished about twenty years back. they are still kept in the best condition possible, however, to signify the town's history. as of now, most people just come here to venture around some of them, or to simply get away.
even with its size, every town needs some police officers to keep everyone under the law. the police here drive around large snowmobiles to get from side of the town to the other, as it would be incredibly difficult to roam the town in a car whose wheels are buried under several feet of snow.
because tallenburgh is located next to a large lake, this is a popular place for the townspeople to visit, even if they can't swim in it's freezing temperatures. some of the local fisherman go ice fishing around here and sell their catchings to the market store. friends and families often visit the lake, which is the main attraction in the town. some say it has an eerie feeling surrounding it...
a small, cozy cafe popular with everyone in the town. it has great coffee, the only wireless network in the town, and lots of great baked foods. it is very well known for it's apple pies and it's chocolate chip cookies.
although it's not as fancy as a large restaurant, it has some of the best food around town, making many of the townspeople feel the need to eat out on occasion. it's main dishes are seafood, but it also serves hamburgers, steaks, chicken, and a variety of soups.
this is where all of the town's supplies and food is transported to. located at the port is a warehouse, stocking up on goods and sending them out to different spots in the town. often people come out here when there are no ships aound and stand over the dock. looking out is miles and miles of lakewater, gleaming in the sun and creating a peaceful feeling.
